Fostering for Suffolk County Council - an IntroductionChildren and young people who are placed in foster care should experience it positively. A young person’s experience in foster care should contribute to their overall sense of well being. Suffolk County Council’s Fostering Service will work with our foster carers and the children in our care to help them achieve their full potential in a nurturing stable environment. Suffolk Fostering Service Mission Statement Thank you for visiting our website. There are more than 80 children in Suffolk waiting for foster carers. We always need more carers and we really hope that when you have read through the info on this site you will want to take the next step. If you love children, are healthy, have room to spare and an appropriate lifestyle and are cleared by our police and medical checks, then you may well be able to help. The pages in this site will tell you a bit more about fostering with Suffolk County Council - we hope it's enough to whet your interest. Having read through these pages, if you wish to take the next step, do please get in touch, either through the contact page, or by phone or letter. Even if you decide fostering is not for you, there are other ways you can help. Spread the message that carers are needed. Put up a poster. Tell your friends about this site. Give out some of our bookmarks at your local school. Hand out leaflets. Encourage people to find out about fostering. Do let us know through the contact page how you can help. We look forward to hearing from you and once again, thank you very much for your interest.
